New Anchorage Lane play area moves a step closer

An exciting new children’s play area at Anchorage Lane park, Sprotbrough, moved a step closer today when parish councillors met with the company that successfully tendered for the work.

Work is expected to start in Autumn this year and take up to six weeks to complete, starting with the removal of the current outdated play equipment that’s currently on the site.

The construction area will be fenced off for safety reasons, which will affect a short section of the running trail while work is in progress.

Football matches will still be played during the construction period.

The parish council is picking up the bill for the new play area, which is set to cost around £130,000.

More details will follow and a revised image of the planned development will be uploaded to this website.
