PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC

TEMPORARY ORDER 2020

 THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

NOTICE is hereby given that Doncaster Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length of Mill Lane at Sprotbrough in the Doncaster Metropolitan District as described in the Schedule to this notice on the dates and times referred to in the said Schedule

Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the workforce whilst works for principal bridge inspection on the canal bridge using an underbridge unit are undertaken.

NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order is via Boat Lane, Main Street, Cadeby Road, Cadeby Lane, Hollow Gate, Pastures Lane, Pastures Road, Doncaster Road C309, Bambury Bridge, Bambury Bridge Roundabout, Doncaster Road A6023, Low Road, Sheffield Road East, Sheffield Road, Mill Lane and vice versa

The Proposed Order will continue in force for one day or until the works which it is proposed to carry out in or near the said road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Location

 Mill Lane, Sprotbrough from its junction with Nursery Lane and Boat Lane to a point 400 metres north of the railway bridge on Mill Lane

 Sunday 17th May 2020 between 06.00hrs and 10:30hrs
