Contractors to resume work on new Anchorage Lane play area
Work is expected to resume on the new Anchorage Lane play area within the next couple of weeks, following new Government safety advice for working on construction sites during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Contractor, Brambledown, have put together detailed safe working practices – in line with guidance from the Construction Leadership Council – and these have been approved by Doncaster Council, which is managing the play area contract for the parish council.
Parish Council Chair, Councillor David Holland, said: This is good news, we have hopefully put the bad weather behind us so the contractors can move with some pace to get the site ready.
“When the play area is competed we will have to take note of what, if any, Government restrictions are in place which may impact on its opening, as the parish council’s other play areas are currently closed because of the virus outbreak.
“But we will keep local people fully informed so everyone can stay safe.”
