PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
TEMPORARY ORDER 2020
THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
NOTICE is hereby given that Doncaster Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length of Sprotbrough Road in the Doncaster Metropolitan District as described in the Schedule to this notice on the dates and times referred to in the said Schedule
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the workforce whilst works to replace gas mains and service pipes are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order is via York Road, Barnsley Road, Barnsley Road A1m Roundabout, Blacksmiths Lane, Hangman Stone Road, Doncaster Road, Melton Road, Sprotbrough Road.

The Proposed Order will continue in force up to and including the 20th day of November 2020 or until the works which it is proposed to carry out in or near the said road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
Sprotbrough Road from its junction with the A638 St Marys Roundabout to its junction with Anchorage Lane for vehicles travelling in a south westerly direction only (away from the roundabout).
