Can you help Marie Curie?

Get behind our Great Daffodil Appeal collections

Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal has been raising awareness and funds since 1986.
Last year, the appeal raised £7.5 million, funding almost 400,000 hours of nursing care. That was a great result but sadly, one in four people in the UK still don’t get the care and support they need at the end of their life.
Every March, millions of people across the UK show their support for our work, simply by giving a donation to wear a daffodil pin.
Without this generosity, thousands of families across the UK wouldn’t be able to make the most of the precious time they have left together.

Volunteer your time

Why not join us for just two hours to collect donations and give out daffodil pins at a supermarket near you? Every £20 pays for an hour of nursing care – giving peace of mind to people living with a terminal illness and a chance for their family to rest.

Hold a Fundraising Event in March

If collecting isn’t for you or you don’t have the time to spare, why not organise an event instead? You could do this in your workplace or in your college and school and get everybody you know involved this year.

There are lots of things you could do that are fun and easy to organise; you could let them eat cake by holding a bake sale, dress up, down or daft, get quizzical or hold your very own lip sync battle.

What your time means

Every £20 you raise pays for an hour of care from a Marie Curie Nurse.
£180 pays for one of our nurses to look after someone right through the night.

Whatever you do, however much you raise, you’ll be helping Marie Curie Nurses to support families when they need it most.
