The Parish of Sprotbrough
and Cusworth lies three miles to the north west of Doncaster
town centre and is split by the A1 motorway.
To the south of the
Parish flows the River Don, once one of the dirtiest rivers
in Europe and now - thanks to a multi-million-pound clean-up
- a haven to local fishermen, with salmon having recently been
spotted in the watercourse.
